Q: What is an Air Taxi Service? A: An air taxi is a for-hire passenger or cargo aircraft which operates on an on-demand basis. Air Taxi operators mainly have smaller aircraft and operate in a concentrated region, such as South Central United States. In the United States, air taxi and air charter operations are governed by Part 135 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). An air taxi is also a aircraft charter service. Q: How is Express Air Taxi different than commercial airlines? A: Direct flights for business travelers could be quite expensive. Employees with regional business are condemned to driving hours in order to meet with clients. Most people are forced to make connections at major airport hubs, extending the length of the trip. But with Express Air Taxi, we provide our customers with a more economical solution, which includes direct flights through underutilized secondary (smaller) airports. Multi-destination stops are not a challenge for Express Air Taxi. Example: Houston - Austin - Lake Charles, LA and back to Houston is possible in one day. Q: How is Express Air Taxi different than traditional aircraft charter? A: Traditional aircraft charter usually has bigger, more expensive aircraft (such as turbo-prop or jet aircraft) that can travel further distances without having to refuel. Their cost can be at least double the rate of Express Air Taxi's rates. Click here to see Express Air Taxi's charter rates. Q: Is it safe to fly on a smaller airplane? A: Absolutely. Siegel Aviation, LLC dba Express Air Taxi is fully insured and certified by the Federal Aviation Administration for air taxi/charter operations. With our experienced pilot, Express Air Taxi will provide safe flights for our customers. Q: Can I travel outside of the primary service area? A: Yes. Express Air Taxi will fly you to anywhere from any airport in the Houston Metropolitan area. Realize that the time savings may not be as great if flying outside of the primary service area. Q: Will I have to go through security at smaller airports? A: No. Flying out of a smaller airport provides you with the advantage of NOT having to go through security. You can be at the airport (or FBO) 15 minutes before your flight is scheduled to leave, park your car, walk out to the aircraft and board the airplane. Within 10 minutes of boarding, you will be up in the air and be flying to your destination. It's just that simple! Q: Does Express Air Taxi have a cancellation policy? A: Yes, in our cancellation policy, we ask that if a customer wishes to cancel a flight they notify Express Air Taxi at least 12 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees. We reserve the right to charge the customer 10% of the quoted price of the flight and any incurred cost if cancellation is not made prior to the 12 hour window before the scheduled departure time. Q: What does Express Air Taxi do in case of bad weather, such as thunderstorms? A: Express Air Taxi will discuss all possible options with our customer. The options include but are not limited to cancelling the flight or delaying the flight and waiting for the storm to pass by. Q: What are Express Air Taxi's payment options? A: Express Air Taxi accepts cash, business checks, credit card, or PayPal. Cash or business check are expected at the end of flight. Credit card payments are processed through Authortize.net. With the payments through Paypal, we will send an invoice via email. |
